In my hands as a Christmas present from a friend who knew my passion for the Egyptians, their history and their mysteries,unfortunately ... it was a disappointment.
Set in a contemporary Turin, the protagonist is an Egyptologist like Fantozzi who is the victim of a strange trick of which he in some way complicit.
Paul Barbasa Maria (the name of the protagonist) married and father of three daughters is a frustrated man who writes erotic fantasies of every woman he meets. Beautiful or ugly
He writes the fantasies in a book that even hides the icy wife who invariably plays a joke ... very embarrassing.
The story unfolds in 221 pages sliding but little beauty. Nefertiti, the Egyptian and papyrus are just a postcard background to the sad business of a couple intent on anything to sgrovel before the Torino's society.
The plot?
An Egyptologist working at a huge collection of artifacts without avalue of the Egyptian museum in Turin. In the exaggeratedamount of documents, 12 however seem to belong to the famous Nefertiti and takes them home to study them decided to be good for his social and human levied. Once there he discovers that the safe which contained them is empty and that in Turin start rumors about the strange gyrations papyri delivered to 12 women - with no apparent links between them - accompanied by twelve vulgar and unscrupulous notes in which the author reveals his erotic fantasies!
If Barbasa was not ... who is that shames him that way?
A clue? Well you know that the worst things happen within the family ...
Reading light and not memorable.
